Who we are
Carer Tickets is a trading name of Slingshot Search Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10471851), registered office 80 Ashton Road, Denton, Manchester, M34 3JF. Slingshot Search Ltd is the controller of your personal data. For anything about your data, email hello@carertickets.co.uk.
Visitors to the site
You can use Carer Tickets without an account and without giving us any personal details. We collect:
- Basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider to run and secure the site, such as IP address and browser type (legitimate interests).
- Analytics data, only if you accept analytics cookies (consent). See Cookies below.
- Emails you send us, for example to report a change at a venue. We use them to reply and to check and update our listings (legitimate interests).
Venues we contact
We email venues to ask them to confirm or correct the information we list. We use business contact addresses published on the venue’s own website, usually an access team or general enquiries address. We keep the address, the venue it belongs to, the emails we send and any replies, so we can update the listing and avoid contacting anyone twice (legitimate interests). Every email includes a one-click way to opt out, and replying “unsubscribe” works too. Once you opt out, we keep only your address on a do-not-contact list.
Replies may be read by an AI assistant (Anthropic’s Claude) to sort them and answer routine questions. Anything unusual is passed to a person.
Services we use
These companies process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Zoho Mail: our email, hosted in the EU.
- Upstash: storing the list of venues we’ve contacted and their replies.
- Anthropic: AI processing of venue replies.
- Google Analytics: visit statistics, only with your consent.
Some of these providers are based in, or use systems in, the United States. Where data leaves the UK, it’s protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK’s international data transfer agreement and addendum.
How long we keep it
- Emails with venues are kept for as long as we list that venue, so we can show when a listing was confirmed.
- Other emails are kept for up to two years after the conversation ends.
- Hosting logs are kept for a short period by our provider and then deleted automatically.
- Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for 14 months.
Cookies
We don’t need any cookies to run the site. With your permission, we use Google Analytics cookies to understand how people use it (which pages are visited and how people arrive), so we can improve it. Analytics only runs if you choose “Accept analytics”, and your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to or restrict how we use it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@carertickets.co.uk and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
